I write for classical reasons.
To look inwardly and find my truth in an age of conformity. To produce nonfiction, fiction, and poetry reflecting all the complexity and richness I’ve found in the great books I’ve read, the people I know, and the long weird road I’m traveling.
And ultimately, to have fun, kick ass, and be myself at the writing desk.
My subjects are
San Francisco and Europe:
European cinema, history, literature, and social landscapes. Living on the edge of America, I explore the tension between tradition and upheaval, and who we become in the midst of it.
